The Notorious B.I.G., also known as Biggie Smalls and born as Christopher Wallace, was an influential American rapper and one of the most prominent figures in the East Coast hip-hop scene. He was born on May 21st, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York. Biggie Smalls grew up in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. He faced a challenging environment marked by poverty and crime, but he developed an early interest in rap. Biggie gained attention in the early 1990s with his distinctive flow and lyrical prowess. His debut album, "Ready to Die," was released in 1994 and is considered a classic in the hip-hop genre. It features hits like "Juicy" and "Big Poppa." During the mid-1990s, a notorious East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry emerged. Biggie Smalls, representing the East Coast, and Tupac Shakur, representing the West Coast, became central figures in this feud. The rivalry intensified following the murder of Tupac Shakur in 1996. Biggie Smalls himself was killed in a drive-by shooting on March 9th, 1997, in Los Angeles, California at the age of 24, just six months after Tupac's death. Tupac Shakur was an American rapper, actor, and activist who became one of the most influential figures in the world of hip-hop. He was born on June 16th, 1971, in East Harlem, New York City, and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Tupac's upbringing was marked by struggles and challenges. He experienced poverty, moved frequently, and became involved in the arts, including acting and rapping, during his high school years. Tupac rose to prominence in the early 1990s with his debut album "2Pacalypse Now" in 1991, which addressed social issues and showcased his powerful and socially conscious lyrics. He became known for his passionate delivery and outspoken views. In addition to his successful music career, Tupac pursued acting. He appeared in films such as "Juice" in 1992, "Poetic Justice" in 1993, and "Above the Rim" in 1994.

Tupac faced various legal issues throughout his career, including arrests for assault and weapons charges. He served time in prison but continued to produce music while incarcerated. On November 30th, 1994, he was shot five times inside the lobby of Quad Studios in New York City and survived. Tupac blamed Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and Biggie for the incident, claiming he was set up, which is what sparked the East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry during the mid-1990s. Fast forward two years, Tupac Shakur was again shot multiple times, this time in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on September 7th, 1996. He died six days later on September 13th, 1996, at the age of 25. The circumstances surrounding his murder and Biggie’s remain unsolved, leading to various conspiracy theories over the past nearly three decades. Tupac's legacy extends beyond music, and he is often considered one of the greatest and most influential rappers in the history of hip-hop.
