Phil Hartman was a Canadian-American actor, comedian, and voice artist, best known for his comedic talent and versatile performances. He was born on September 24th, 1948, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Hartman gained widespread recognition as a cast member on the sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live", where he performed from 1986 to 1994. His memorable characters on SNL included the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, Frankenstein, and his impressions of figures like President Bill Clinton. Phil was a frequent collaborator with comedian Paul Reubens and provided voices for various characters on the animated series "The Simpsons." Phil’s life was cut short when he was murdered on May 28th, 1998, at the age of 49. His wife, Brynn Omdahl, fatally shot him before taking her own life. Hartman's death was a shock to the entertainment industry, especially since his friend and SNL colleague comedian Chris Farley, died 5 months earlier. The media emphatically labeled it “The SNL curse.” Like several other celebrities who died prematurely, there appears to be more to Phil’s death than just a murder suicide committed by his wife Brynn. What really happened that night Phil was murdered and what led up to this heinous act? Check out the Phil Hartman video for additional information.
