Rapper DMX, aka Earl Simmons, passed away on April 9th, 2021, at age 50 after suffering a heart attack that left him in a coma for several days. His death was officially attributed to complications from a drug overdose and a lifelong history of addiction. However, his death sparked a variety of conspiracy theories, fueled by his prominent status, his past legal troubles, and his outspoken nature about certain issues.
On April 2nd, 2021, DMX was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home in White Plains, New York. According to reports, the heart attack was triggered by a drug overdose, and he was placed on life support in critical condition. After several days in a coma, his family made the difficult decision to remove him from life support, and he passed away on April 9th, ironically, the same day Prince Philip died.
DMX had a long history of substance abuse, which he openly discussed throughout his career. He began using drugs at a young age and often battled addiction while trying to maintain his career. Although he sought rehabilitation multiple times, DMX’s addiction struggles were a key factor in the official cause of his death. However, there are those who believe foul play was a factor and that the general public has not been given the full truth about what transpired.
There are those who believe that DMX’s death was not due to an overdose caused by DMX himself, that he was potentially “silenced” by the powerful entities that control the music industry, due to his outspoken nature. DMX was known for being vocal about his disdain for certain industry practices and often criticized how artists were treated by record labels. It is also believed that DMX’s death was orchestrated by these entities because he knew too much about the darker side of the music business or because of his unwillingness to conform, or both.
The music industry is akin to a cult or fraternity, and of course, there are rules that must not be broken; otherwise, there will be consequences as a result. Which begs the question, do these consequences involve killing the one who breaks the rules? It sure as hell seems that way, and they go to extreme measures to make sure that the media reports the version of the story that they want to. Of course, you’ll have skeptics who will refuse to believe this and say these are nothing but fringe conspiracy theories. I’m not trying to assert that he was murdered, but I just want people to see that not everything is as it seems and that we should take even official stories with a grain of salt.
Proponents of the whole him being murdered theory often claim that DMX’s willingness to speak out about artist contracts and unfair practices within the music industry, as well as his religious beliefs pertaining to God and efforts to turn his life around, made him a target. They argue that the official narrative of his drug overdose was a convenient cover for something more sinister.
Another conspiracy theory that gained traction online is the claim that DMX’s death was caused by receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Shortly after his death, some social media users alleged that DMX had been vaccinated just days before his heart attack, suggesting a connection between the vaccine and his sudden medical emergency. This theory was especially prevalent among anti-vaccine groups, who used DMX’s death as a high-profile case to further their cause. There is no confirmed evidence that DMX received a COVID-19 vaccine prior to his death. His family and representatives did not mention any connection to the vaccine, and medical professionals attributed his heart attack to a drug overdose.
Then, of course, there are those who believe that DMX was targeted by the Illuminati because of his spiritual journey and outspoken criticism of certain social and governmental structures. DMX often talked about his faith in God and his belief in spiritual warfare, which conspiracy theorists twisted into claims that his death was part of a broader “spiritual battle” against the nefarious forces controlling the world.
This theory ties into long-standing conspiracies that suggest the Illuminati controls the music industry and eliminates artists in a ritual sacrifice who refuse to comply with their agenda, or just eliminates them if they possess a certain symbolic significance that makes them suitable for termination.
There is another working theory that DMX’s drug overdose was staged or that he was intentionally given a fatal dose of drugs as part of an assassination plot. According to this theory, DMX had either made enemies in the industry or among criminal elements due to his past legal troubles, leading to an intentional overdose to make it look like he had succumbed to his addiction. However, of course, medical reports and the statements from DMX’s family and close associates support the conclusion that his death resulted from a drug overdose and heart attack. While fans continue to mourn his passing, the myriad of conspiracy theories often provides a way for people to make sense of the unexpected loss of a high-profile individual.
